A prophetic discussion from the House of Bishops in New York

(Below you will find a transcript/summary of a prophetic ‘discussion’ from day 1 of the House of Bishops from October in New York. It starts with a story from Bishop Jason and gets fleshed out in the discussion that follows.)

Bishop Jason recounted the story that for the past three years the Lord has been showing him repetitive groupings of the number 2. It started off subtly, where he would look at the time on the clock, and it would be 2:22 or 3:22.  As time has gone on, the frequency of seeing the number 2 would draw his attention to license plates or labels on items. These appearances have steadily and rapidly increased in frequency; so much so over the last 3 years that it has become obvious that this is not just a coincidence; but that God is speaking.

During his drive from Georgia to New York for the House of Bishops in October, the appearance of the number 2 became as loud as a voice shouting in his head and he saw it so many times that he lost count after more than 100 episodes in a short period of time. Having worked in law enforcement and being trained to observe numbers on licenses and car tags, Bishop Jason reports seeing more incidents where the number 2 or groupings of the number 2 were present than in his 10 years of work in law enforcement. On another trip, he was praying while driving, as he often does, and while stopped at a traffic light he noticed a tag with repetitive 2s on it and glancing toward another car he saw a license plate with the word “tsunami” printed on it.

After having a conversation with Bishop Jones and praying into this more, one thing that was on Bishop Jason’s heart was that of the second coming. Not that it was imminent, but that he should pray on it and “keep his eyes on the prize”.

Another word from Canon House: “Jesus is the second person in the trinity. The power, and authority and victory He brings.

Another reference, by Bishop Rob was made to the song “the 12 days of Christmas”: the second day of Christmas, “two turtle doves” representing the Old and New Testament, the spoken word of God.

Also, a reference to the Holy Spirit and “a double portion”, a word that has been repeated in recent times to Bishop Jason.

Another Scripture reference from the Dean of Intercessor, Fr. Nick: 2nd Timothy 2:22 “Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart”.

Bishop Jones Responds: “The word “lust” in this passage does not just refer to carnal or moral things. It is word for any strong desire that is not of God (Social media, other forms of entertainment, distractions or anything that distracts us from the presence of God).”  Undoubtedly (speaking to Bishop Jason) there is an anointing on you that connects you to the young people. This is a powerful word for you prophetically and part of your assignment. The repetitive number 2, in the prophetic, means or is speaking in “suddenlies”. In our personal lives as we pray and seem to hit a wall, or an obstacle; As we press in and pray more, our prayers act like a battering ram; they soften the ground….and this is where we have encounters. I feel this word is bigger than just for Jason, but for all of us too, and has to do with what God is doing in the CEC. We are all praying into what God is doing. This is one of the ways we steward what He is doing; by praying into these prophetic utterances. This is when we will have breakthroughs. I believe we are going to be seeing a lot of breakthroughs.

What I have found, though, is that having the encounters do not always mean breakthroughs. Breakthroughs happen when we have an encounter and add to that repentance. So, I believe that as we are praying into things we are going to repent of a lot of things. What do I mean by that? It’s not the “groveling, beat yourself up repentance” that we most often think of. The word “repentance” means “to change”, in the new testament it means “to think with”. And so, we are going to surrender to the “mind of Christ” And I think that is fun. It is a fun thing to do. You always “trade up” when you repent. So, I think we will be seeing a lot of this in our churches.

The word tsunami is a repetition of a word given a while ago. With tsunamis, there is destruction and with the original word we received there was a lot of destruction and exposure. And a tsunami changes the landscape forever. God has given us stewardship over this new landscape, and we all need to pray into the stewardship that we have been given for our own individual lives, the lives of our churches and as leaders of the church in North America. And pray with expectancy. Pray expecting sunlight.

I gave a word the other day that I believe it is for all of us.  Isaiah 22:22: “I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.”

That is a place of authority for us as we pray. For everyone in our personal walk as well as for us as Bishops and leadership in our churches, in our dioceses and in our communities and beyond, even on a national and international level.

Bishop Jones Continues: The Glory of the Lord is in the room and through our prayer language, the Spirit of the Lord has settled heavy upon us in this room. It is amazing and awesome stuff, and I am grateful for that.

Another word, that I sent out to all of you (the bishops) was the word of “honor”. When I asked the Lord what this meant, He said, “As you (the bishops) honor Me, (which of course we are), and honor each other, and honor who you are with each other; standing in love, fellowship, unity, community and in respect of one another; I will honor you with My glory.” This is happening now, we are seeing this happening now and I am so grateful.

So, all the words we have given to the people here are more just words confirming the tsunami on a personal level, and confirming the “suddenlies” that it brings….. A bringing of the Holy Spirit and a “double portion” on a personal level, recognizing Jesus as the 2nd person of the Trinity, and the power and victory that His presence brings…The two turtle-doves ~ as a reference to both the old and new testaments/the complete spoken word of God, and particularly for Bishop Jason, his connection to and assignment with the young people and the Three Streams Ignited Movement.
