A Church Where Word, Spirit, and Sacrament Meet
We are a growing communion of Christians from all walks of life who desire to worship God in a church that is Biblical, Spirit-filled, and rooted in historic Christian faith.
In the Charismatic Episcopal Church of North America (CEC-NA), we bring together the richness of the ancient Church with the fire of the Holy Spirit and the power of the Gospel. Our worship is evangelical and biblical, charismatic and alive, liturgical and sacramental.

We are a Church of Convergence, bringing together three historic streams of Christian faith:
We hold Scripture as our final authority for life and faith, trusting it reveals all needed for salvation. We proclaim grace through faith in Jesus Christ and invite all into a personal relationship with Him.
We embrace the active work of the Holy Spirit—His gifts, power, and guidance. All believers are called and equipped to minister, empowered by the Spirit to build up the Church and advance God’s Kingdom.
At the center of worship is the Holy Eucharist, where Christ is truly present. We celebrate seven sacraments—Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Confession, Healing, Holy Orders, and Matrimony—as true encounters with grace.
The CEC-NA is governed by bishops in apostolic succession, alongside priests, deacons, and lay leaders. We follow a model of consensus government, prayerfully discerning the Lord’s will together in humility and unity.
Our clergy and members come from many Christian backgrounds—Evangelical, Pentecostal, Charismatic, Anglican, Roman Catholic, and Orthodox—united in a shared vision to recover the fullness of the early Church for today.
The CEC-NA is part of the global International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church (ICCEC). We were not formed from a split or schism, but out of a desire to follow the Holy Spirit into a new work of unity and convergence.
In 1992, our founding bishop, Randolph Adler, was consecrated in apostolic succession. Since then, the church has grown across North America and beyond.
When you visit a CEC church, you’ll find worship that is:
Biblical in its preaching and prayer
Liturgical in its structure and beauty
The Charismatic Episcopal Church of North America is a community of believers grounded in Scripture, shaped by the Sacraments, and alive in the Holy Spirit. Three Streams, One Mighty River.
