Proper 13
Brothers and sisters, God the Father has called us into His presence through Jesus His Son, by the power of His Holy Spirit. Therefore, let us go to Him for ourselves and for the whole world.
That our Patriarch and all Bishops may be endowed with the wisdom and anointing of the Holy Spirit to rightly pass down the truths of the Gospel to future generations.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That nations may abandon their self-interests and live at peace with others.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That we, like St. Paul, may have great anguish and sorrow for those who are rejecting Christ and may it lead us to intercede on their behalf.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That all who have played a part in the careless destruction of human life may repent and find the forgiveness and peace that is in Christ alone.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That the Jewish people may recognize that Jesus is the Messiah spoken of by Moses.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That our schools, colleges and universities may be centers for sound learning and the pursuit of wisdom, where Jesus is proclaimed as the source of all truth.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
For our own special intentions. (Pause)
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
Father, You are the provider of every good gift. Hear our prayer and give us the grace to trust You for all our needs. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
