Proper 8
Brothers and sisters, through faith in Christ we have been grafted into Him and made heirs of His Kingdom. Therefore, let us lift up our needs in prayer to the Lord of all.
That the Church may make visible the Kingdom of God through word and deed.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That God the Holy Spirit may pour out His Gifts generously upon His Church.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That we may be good stewards of God’s creation and that He may grant us seasonable weather and an abundance of produce.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That governments may have honest and able leaders to root out corruption and enact laws that promote true justice for all those they serve.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That we may see the image of Christ in the stranger, the homeless, the imprisoned, and the unwanted child.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That refugees of natural disasters, religious persecution or from war torn countries may be welcomed and receive the basic assistance necessary to live.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That we may raise our children in the ways of the Lord, that they may walk therein all the days of their lives.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
Father of Mercy, You have delivered us from the domain of darkness and have granted us the gift of eternal life. Hear our prayer and give us the grace to take up our cross daily and follow Jesus. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
