Good Friday
Brothers and sisters, by dying and rising again, Jesus has given us access to the Father. Therefore, we can confidently approach Him for our needs and those of the whole world.
That the Church may boldly proclaim the Mystery of Faith: “Christ has died, Christ is Risen, Christ will come again”.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That the persecuted Church, by their witness, may be delivered from their captors and see the conversion of their oppressors.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That nations which are at odds with one another may reconcile their differences.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That those burdened by past sins may recognize that Jesus bore their iniquity on the cross and remembers their sin no more.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That those who have lost their health and freedom through addiction may receive the deliverance God has provided for them in Jesus.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That we will deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him daily.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.

Gracious God, we were without hope, without God in the world. Hear our prayer and give us the grace to be a thankful people for all You have done for us through Christ our Lord.
