Eighth Sunday after Epiphany
Brothers and sisters, God is the source of our strength and our hope. Therefore, let us confidently bring our prayer requests before the Lord of all the earth.
That our Patriarch and all Church leaders may live lives that reflect the love and forgiveness of Jesus.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That those who have wealth and power may serve and defend those in need.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That we may look for ways to encourage one another to love and good deeds.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That expectant mothers may see their children as gifts from God.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That we may desire Christ more than any person, wealth or possession.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That the poor, the imprisoned, the homeless and the hungry may have their physical and spiritual needs met through God and His people.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That those who are suffering in body, mind or soul may experience God’s gracious love in their healing.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
For our own special intentions. (Pause)
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Merciful Father, as we present our needs to You, hear our prayers, increase our faith and comfort us with the blessed assurance of Your presence and grace. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
