Fifth Sunday after Epiphany
Brothers and sisters, with steadfast hearts let us turn to the Lord, trusting in His mercy and grace to answer our prayers.
That our Patriarch, all Bishops and Clergy may live lives holy and pleasing to the Lord so that His Name may be glorified even among non-believers.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That the Church may continue to proclaim that Jesus is the Light of God’s Salvation to a lost and dying world.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That governments may acknowledge that all authority comes from God alone and is to be used for the good of those they serve.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That we may study and obey God’s statutes and teach them to our children.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That those who defend us at home and abroad may be endowed with the grace, wisdom, compassion and protection of the Lord.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
That in our daily lives we may shine forth the light of Christ to all those we encounter.
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
For our own special intentions. (Pause)
Lord in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
God of all wisdom, Your Son calls us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Hear our prayer and give us the grace to remain faithful to Your holy Gospel. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
