Fourth Sunday after Epiphany
Brothers and sisters, since Jesus took on our humanity in every way, except for sin, He is familiar with our needs. Therefore, let us bring our needs before Him.
That the Church, like Simeon, may proclaim Jesus as Messiah, the Savior of all creation.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That those who are at enmity with each other may hear God’s call to be peacemakers.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That God’s people may seek justice and mercy by working to defend the poor, the powerless and the unborn.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That the Name of the Lord may be glorified by our words and deeds.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That we may walk in the Fruit of the Holy Spirit and serve one another through the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That world religions and philosophies in opposition to the Word of God may recognize and acknowledge Jesus as Lord of all.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That artists, authors, film makers and producers may dedicate their talents to glorifying God and encouraging the hearts of people toward righteousness.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
Eternal God, Jesus, our faithful High Priest, has opened to us access to Your heavenly Throne. Hear our prayer and give us the grace to lead others into Your presence. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
