Third Sunday after Epiphany
Brothers and sisters, with the conviction that the light of Christ conquers every form of darkness and meets the needs of every man’s heart, let us pray with confidence for the needs of the whole world.
That the Church may promote unity among Christians with all humility and wisdom.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That government leaders may have the integrity to place the common good above any personal gain.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That nations will heed the Gospel's call to respect and protect all human life.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That the lives of those who live in the darkness of oppression, sexual immorality, addiction and shame may be filled with the light of Christ.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That those who hear Christ’s call to a Christian vocation may, like the apostles, leave whatever they are doing and follow Him.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
That those who have been healed will glorify God in their healing and comfort others who are waiting to be healed.
Lord in Your mercy, Hear our prayer.
Father in heaven, we have seen Your great salvation through Your Son Jesus Christ. Hear our prayer and give us the grace to be conformed to His image. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
