Ordinary Time
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 118

⁽¹⁾ Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. ⁽²⁾ Let Israel now say, 'His mercy endures forever.' ⁽³⁾ Let the house of Aaron now say, 'His mercy endures forever.' ⁽⁴⁾ Let those who fear the LORD now say, 'His mercy endures forever.'

⁽⁵⁾ I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD answered me and set me in a broad place. ⁽⁶⁾ The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. Judges Chapter 16

⁽¹⁵⁾ Then she said to him, 'How can you say, 'I love you,' when your heart is not with me? You have mocked me these three times, and have not told me where your great strength lies.' ⁽¹⁶⁾ And it came to pass, when she pestered him daily with her words and pressed him, so that his soul was vexed to death, ⁽¹⁷⁾ that he told her all his heart, and said to her, 'No razor has ever come upon my head, for I have been a Nazirite to God from my mother's womb. If I am shaven, then my strength will leave me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.' ⁽¹⁸⁾ When Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, 'Come up once more, for he has told me all his heart.' So the lords of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hand.

⁽¹⁹⁾ Then she lulled him to sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him. ⁽²⁰⁾ And she said, 'The Philistines are upon you, Samson!' So he awoke from his sleep, and said, 'I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!' But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him. ⁽²¹⁾ Then the Philistines took him and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza. They bound him with bronze fetters, and he became a grinder in the prison. ⁽²²⁾ However, the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaven.

⁽²³⁾ Now the lords of the Philistines gathered together to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god, and to rejoice. And they said: 'Our god has delivered into our hands Samson our enemy!' ⁽²⁴⁾ When the people saw him, they praised their god; for they said: 'Our god has delivered into our hands our enemy, The destroyer of our land, And the one who multiplied our dead.' ⁽²⁵⁾ So it happened, when their hearts were merry, that they said, 'Call for Samson, that he may perform for us.' So they called for Samson from the prison, and he performed for them. And they stationed him between the pillars. ⁽²⁶⁾ Then Samson said to the lad who held him by the hand, 'Let me feel the pillars which support the temple, so that I can lean on them.'

⁽²⁷⁾ Now the temple was full of men and women. All the lords of the Philistines were there -- about three thousand men and women on the roof watching while Samson performed. ⁽²⁸⁾ Then Samson called to the LORD, saying, 'O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!' ⁽²⁹⁾ And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars which supported the temple, and he braced himself against them, one on his right and the other on his left. ⁽³⁰⁾ Then Samson said, 'Let me die with the Philistines!' And he pushed with all his might, and the temple fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life.

⁽³¹⁾ And his brothers and all his father's household came down and took him, and brought him up and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of his father Manoah. He had judged Israel twenty years.

2 Corinthians Chapter 13

⁽¹⁾ This will be the third time I am coming to you. 'By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.' ⁽²⁾ I have told you before, and foretell as if I were present the second time, and now being absent I write to those who have sinned before, and to all the rest, that if I come again I will not spare -- ⁽³⁾ since you seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but mighty in you. ⁽⁴⁾ For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.

⁽⁵⁾ Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? -- unless indeed you are disqualified. ⁽⁶⁾ But I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified. ⁽⁷⁾ Now I pray to God that you do no evil, not that we should appear approved, but that you should do what is honorable, though we may seem disqualified. ⁽⁸⁾ For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

⁽⁹⁾ For we are glad when we are weak and you are strong. And this also we pray, that you may be made complete. ⁽¹⁰⁾ Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the authority which the Lord has given me for edification and not for destruction. ⁽¹¹⁾ Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

Mark Chapter 5

⁽²⁵⁾ Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, ⁽²⁶⁾ and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. ⁽²⁷⁾ When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. ⁽²⁸⁾ For she said, 'If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.'

⁽²⁹⁾ Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. ⁽³⁰⁾ And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, 'Who touched My clothes?' ⁽³¹⁾ But His disciples said to Him, 'You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?' ' ⁽³²⁾ And He looked around to see her who had done this thing.

⁽³³⁾ But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. ⁽³⁴⁾ And He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.'

The Song of Zechariah Luke 1: 68 to 79
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty savior,
born of the house of his servant David.
Through his holy prophets he promised of old,
that he would save us from our enemies,
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant.
This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham,
to set us free from the hands of our enemies,

all the days of our life.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
  On the third day he rose again.

Almighty God, you have given your only Son to be for us a sacrifice for sin, and also an example of godly life: Give us grace to receive thankfully the fruits of his redeeming work, and to follow daily in the blessed steps of his most holy life; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
