Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 30

⁽¹⁾ I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up, And have not let my foes rejoice over me. ⁽²⁾ O LORD my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me. ⁽³⁾ O LORD, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. ⁽⁴⁾ Sing praise to the LORD, You saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

Psalm 32

Joshua Chapter 6

⁽¹⁾ Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in. ⁽²⁾ And the LORD said to Joshua: 'See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor. ⁽³⁾ You shall march around the city, all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days. ⁽⁴⁾ And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark. But the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets.

⁽⁵⁾ It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat. And the people shall go up every man straight before him.' ⁽⁶⁾ Then Joshua the son of Nun called the priests and said to them, 'Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD.' ⁽⁷⁾ And he said to the people, 'Proceed, and march around the city, and let him who is armed advance before the ark of the LORD.' ⁽⁸⁾ So it was, when Joshua had spoken to the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns before the LORD advanced and blew the trumpets, and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them.

⁽⁹⁾ The armed men went before the priests who blew the trumpets, and the rear guard came after the ark, while the priests continued blowing the trumpets. ⁽¹⁰⁾ Now Joshua had commanded the people, saying, 'You shall not shout or make any noise with your voice, nor shall a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I say to you, 'Shout!' Then you shall shout.' ⁽¹¹⁾ So he had the ark of the LORD circle the city, going around it once. Then they came into the camp and lodged in the camp. ⁽¹²⁾ And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD.

⁽¹³⁾ Then seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually and blew with the trumpets. And the armed men went before them. But the rear guard came after the ark of the LORD, while the priests continued blowing the trumpets. ⁽¹⁴⁾ And the second day they marched around the city once and returned to the camp. So they did six days.

Romans Chapter 13

⁽¹⁾ Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. ⁽²⁾ Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. ⁽³⁾ For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. ⁽⁴⁾ For he is God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.

⁽⁵⁾ Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience' sake. ⁽⁶⁾ For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God's ministers attending continually to this very thing. ⁽⁷⁾ Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.

Matthew Chapter 26

⁽²⁶⁾ And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, 'Take, eat; this is My body.' ⁽²⁷⁾ Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, 'Drink from it, all of you. ⁽²⁸⁾ For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. ⁽²⁹⁾ But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom.'

⁽³⁰⁾ And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. ⁽³¹⁾ Then Jesus said to them, 'All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: 'I will strike the Shepherd, And the sheep of the flock will be scattered.' ⁽³²⁾ But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.' ⁽³³⁾ Peter answered and said to Him, 'Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble.'

⁽³⁴⁾ Jesus said to him, 'Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.' ⁽³⁵⁾ Peter said to Him, 'Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!' And so said all the disciples.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.

O Lord, mercifully receive the prayers of your people who call upon you, and grant that they may know and understand what things they ought to do, and also may have grace and power faithfully to accomplish them; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
