Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 37

⁽¹⁾ Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. ⁽²⁾ For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. ⁽³⁾ Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. ⁽⁴⁾ Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Joshua Chapter 3

⁽¹⁴⁾ So it was, when the people set out from their camp to cross over the Jordan, with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people, ⁽¹⁵⁾ and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest), ⁽¹⁶⁾ that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho. ⁽¹⁷⁾ Then the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan; and all Israel crossed over on dry ground, until all the people had crossed completely over the Jordan.

⁽¹⁾ And it came to pass, when all the people had completely crossed over the Jordan, that the LORD spoke to Joshua, saying: ⁽²⁾ Take for yourselves twelve men from the people, one man from every tribe, ⁽³⁾ and command them, saying, 'Take for yourselves twelve stones from here, out of the midst of the Jordan, from the place where the priests' feet stood firm. You shall carry them over with you and leave them in the lodging place where you lodge tonight.' ' ⁽⁴⁾ Then Joshua called the twelve men whom he had appointed from the children of Israel, one man from every tribe;

⁽⁵⁾ and Joshua said to them: 'Cross over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of the Jordan, and each one of you take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, ⁽⁶⁾ that this may be a sign among you when your children ask in time to come, saying, 'What do these stones mean to you?' ⁽⁷⁾ Then you shall answer them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it crossed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. And these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.'

Romans Chapter 12

⁽¹⁾ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. ⁽²⁾ And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. ⁽³⁾ For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. ⁽⁴⁾ For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,

⁽⁵⁾ so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. ⁽⁶⁾ Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; ⁽⁷⁾ or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; ⁽⁸⁾ he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

Matthew Chapter 26

⁽¹⁾ Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, that He said to His disciples, ⁽²⁾ You know that after two days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.' ⁽³⁾ Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, ⁽⁴⁾ and plotted to take Jesus by trickery and kill Him.

⁽⁵⁾ But they said, 'Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people.' ⁽⁶⁾ And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, ⁽⁷⁾ a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table. ⁽⁸⁾ But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, 'Why this waste?

⁽⁹⁾ For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and given to the poor.' ⁽¹⁰⁾ But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them, 'Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me. ⁽¹¹⁾ For you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always. ⁽¹²⁾ For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she did it for My burial.

⁽¹³⁾ Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.' ⁽¹⁴⁾ Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests ⁽¹⁵⁾ and said, 'What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?' And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. ⁽¹⁶⁾ So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
  On the third day he rose again.
  He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
