Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 146

⁽¹⁾ Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! ⁽²⁾ While I live I will praise the LORD; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. ⁽³⁾ Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. ⁽⁴⁾ His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish.

⁽⁵⁾ Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God, ⁽⁶⁾ Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever, ⁽⁷⁾ Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. Psalm 147

⁽¹⁾ Praise the LORD! Numbers Chapter 27

⁽¹²⁾ Now the LORD said to Moses: 'Go up into this Mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel. ⁽¹³⁾ And when you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered. ⁽¹⁴⁾ For in the Wilderness of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against My command to hallow Me at the waters before their eyes.' (These are the waters of Meribah, at Kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin.) ⁽¹⁵⁾ Then Moses spoke to the LORD, saying:

⁽¹⁶⁾ Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, ⁽¹⁷⁾ who may go out before them and go in before them, who may lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the LORD may not be like sheep which have no shepherd.' ⁽¹⁸⁾ And the LORD said to Moses: 'Take Joshua the son of Nun with you, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him; ⁽¹⁹⁾ set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation, and inaugurate him in their sight.

⁽²⁰⁾ And you shall give some of your authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient. ⁽²¹⁾ He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire before the LORD for him by the judgment of the Urim. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, he and all the children of Israel with him -- all the congregation.' ⁽²²⁾ So Moses did as the LORD commanded him. He took Joshua and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation. ⁽²³⁾ And he laid his hands on him and inaugurated him, just as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

Acts Chapter 19

⁽¹¹⁾ Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, ⁽¹²⁾ so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. ⁽¹³⁾ Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, 'We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.' ⁽¹⁴⁾ Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.

⁽¹⁵⁾ And the evil spirit answered and said, 'Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?' ⁽¹⁶⁾ Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. ⁽¹⁷⁾ This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. ⁽¹⁸⁾ And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds.

⁽¹⁹⁾ Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. ⁽²⁰⁾ So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.

Mark Chapter 1

Repent, and believe in the gospel.' ⁽¹⁶⁾ And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. ⁽¹⁷⁾ Then Jesus said to them, 'Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.'

⁽¹⁸⁾ They immediately left their nets and followed Him. ⁽¹⁹⁾ When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets. ⁽²⁰⁾ And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after Him.

The Song of Zechariah Luke 1: 68 to 79
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty savior,
born of the house of his servant David.
Through his holy prophets he promised of old,
that he would save us from our enemies,
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant.
This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham,
to set us free from the hands of our enemies,
Free to worship him without fear,
holy and righteous in his sight
all the days of our life.
You, my child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High,
for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way,

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
