I was glad when they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the Lord.' Psalm 122:1

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 97

⁽¹⁾ The LORD reigns; Let the earth rejoice; Let the multitude of isles be glad! ⁽²⁾ Clouds and darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. ⁽³⁾ A fire goes before Him, And burns up His enemies round about. ⁽⁴⁾ His lightnings light the world; The earth sees and trembles.

Psalm 99

Numbers Chapter 16

⁽²⁴⁾ Speak to the congregation, saying, 'Get away from the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.' Touch nothing of theirs, lest you be consumed in all their sins.' ⁽²⁷⁾ So they got away from around the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram; and Dathan and Abiram came out and stood at the door of their tents, with their wives, their sons, and their little children.

⁽²⁸⁾ And Moses said: 'By this you shall know that the LORD has sent me to do all these works, for I have not done them of my own will. ⁽²⁹⁾ If these men die naturally like all men, or if they are visited by the common fate of all men, then the LORD has not sent me. ⁽³⁰⁾ But if the LORD creates a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the pit, then you will understand that these men have rejected the LORD.' ⁽³¹⁾ Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them,

Romans Chapter 4

⁽¹⁾ What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? ⁽²⁾ For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. ⁽³⁾ For what does the Scripture say? 'Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.' ⁽⁴⁾ Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.

⁽⁵⁾ But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, ⁽⁶⁾ just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: ⁽⁷⁾ Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered; ⁽⁸⁾ Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall not impute sin.'

⁽⁹⁾ Does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness. ⁽¹⁰⁾ How then was it accounted? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised. ⁽¹¹⁾ And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also, ⁽¹²⁾ and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith which our father Abraham had while still uncircumcised.

Matthew Chapter 19

⁽²³⁾ Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. ⁽²⁴⁾ And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.' ⁽²⁵⁾ When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, 'Who then can be saved?' ⁽²⁶⁾ But Jesus looked at them and said to them, 'With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'

⁽²⁷⁾ Then Peter answered and said to Him, 'See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?' ⁽²⁸⁾ So Jesus said to them, 'Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. ⁽²⁹⁾ And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. ⁽³⁰⁾ But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

A Song to the Lamb       Revelation 4:11, 5:9 to 10, 13

Splendor and honor and kingly power
are yours by right, O Lord our God,
For you created everything that is,
and by your will they were created
  and have their being;

From every family, language, people, and nation,
a kingdom of priests to serve our God.

The Song of Zechariah Luke 1: 68 to 79

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty savior,
born of the house of his servant David.

Through his holy prophets he promised of old,
that he would save us from our enemies,
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant.

This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham,
to set us free from the hands of our enemies,

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
  On the third day he rose again.
  He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
