Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. Venite
Come, let us sing to the Lord;

(19) The LORD has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all. (20) Bless the LORD, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word.
(21) Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure. (22) Bless the LORD, all His works, In all places of His dominion. Bless the LORD, O my soul!

(8) The LORD has sworn by His right hand And by the arm of His strength: 'Surely I will no longer give your grain As food for your enemies; And the sons of the foreigner shall not drink your new wine, For which you have labored.
(9) But those who have gathered it shall eat it, And praise the LORD; Those who have brought it together shall drink it in My holy courts.' (10) Go through, Go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; Build up, Build up the highway! Take out the stones, Lift up a banner for the peoples! (11) Indeed the LORD has proclaimed To the end of the world: 'Say to the daughter of Zion, 'Surely your salvation is coming; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him.' ' (12) And they shall call them The Holy People, The Redeemed of the LORD; And you shall be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.

(15) Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. (16) And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

(22) So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: (23) Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,' which is translated, 'God with us.' (24) Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, (25) and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS.

The Apostles' Creed
