The Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before him. Habakkuk 2:20

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Jeremiah Chapter 36

⁽²⁷⁾ Now after the king had burned the scroll with the words which Baruch had written at the instruction of Jeremiah, the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying: ⁽²⁸⁾ Take yet another scroll, and write on it all the former words that were in the first scroll which Jehoiakim the king of Judah has burned. ⁽²⁹⁾ And you shall say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, 'Thus says the LORD: 'You have burned this scroll, saying, 'Why have you written in it that the king of Babylon will certainly come and destroy this land, and cause man and beast to cease from here?' ' ⁽³⁰⁾ Therefore thus says the LORD concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah: 'He shall have no one to sit on the throne of David, and his dead body shall be cast out to the heat of the day and the frost of the night.

1 Corinthians Chapter 14

⁽¹⁾ Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. ⁽²⁾ For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. ⁽³⁾ But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. ⁽⁴⁾ He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.

⁽⁵⁾ I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification. ⁽⁶⁾ But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you unless I speak to you either by revelation, by knowledge, by prophesying, or by teaching? ⁽⁷⁾ Even things without life, whether flute or harp, when they make a sound, unless they make a distinction in the sounds, how will it be known what is piped or played? ⁽⁸⁾ For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare himself for battle?

⁽⁹⁾ So likewise you, unless you utter by the tongue words easy to understand, how will it be known what is spoken? For you will be speaking into the air. ⁽¹⁰⁾ There are, it may be, so many kinds of languages in the world, and none of them is without significance. ⁽¹¹⁾ Therefore, if I do not know the meaning of the language, I shall be a foreigner to him who speaks, and he who speaks will be a foreigner to me. ⁽¹²⁾ Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel.

Matthew Chapter 10

⁽¹⁶⁾ Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. ⁽¹⁷⁾ But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. ⁽¹⁸⁾ You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. ⁽¹⁹⁾ But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;

⁽²⁰⁾ for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. ⁽²¹⁾ Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. ⁽²²⁾ And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. Splendor and honor and kingly power

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
