Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 56

⁽¹⁾ Be merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up; Fighting all day he oppresses me. ⁽²⁾ My enemies would hound me all day, For there are many who fight against me, O Most High. ⁽³⁾ Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. ⁽⁴⁾ In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?

⁽⁵⁾ All day they twist my words; All their thoughts are against me for evil. ⁽⁶⁾ They gather together, They hide, they mark my steps, When they lie in wait for my life. ⁽⁷⁾ Shall they escape by iniquity? Deuteronomy Chapter 30

⁽¹⁾ Now it shall come to pass, when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where the LORD your God drives you, ⁽²⁾ and you return to the LORD your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul, ⁽³⁾ that the LORD your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the LORD your God has scattered you. ⁽⁴⁾ If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the LORD your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you.

⁽⁵⁾ Then the LORD your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. ⁽⁹⁾ The LORD your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the LORD will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers, ⁽¹⁰⁾ if you obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

2 Corinthians Chapter 10

⁽¹⁾ Now I, Paul, myself am pleading with you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ -- who in presence am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you. ⁽²⁾ But I beg you that when I am present I may not be bold with that confidence by which I intend to be bold against some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. ⁽³⁾ For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. ⁽⁴⁾ For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

⁽⁵⁾ casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, ⁽⁶⁾ and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. ⁽⁷⁾ Do you look at things according to the outward appearance? If anyone is convinced in himself that he is Christ's, let him again consider this in himself, that just as he is Christ's, even so we are Christ's. ⁽⁸⁾ For even if I should boast somewhat more about our authority, which the Lord gave us for edification and not for your destruction, I shall not be ashamed --

⁽⁹⁾ lest I seem to terrify you by letters. ⁽¹⁰⁾ For his letters,' they say, 'are weighty and powerful, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.' ⁽¹¹⁾ Let such a person consider this, that what we are in word by letters when we are absent, such we will also be in deed when we are present. ⁽¹²⁾ For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

⁽¹³⁾ We, however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of the sphere which God appointed us -- a sphere which especially includes you. ⁽¹⁴⁾ For we are not overextending ourselves (as though our authority did not extend to you), for it was to you that we came with the gospel of Christ; ⁽¹⁵⁾ not boasting of things beyond measure, that is, in other men's labors, but having hope, that as your faith is increased, we shall be greatly enlarged by you in our sphere, ⁽¹⁶⁾ to preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man's sphere of accomplishment.

⁽¹⁷⁾ But 'he who glories, let him glory in the LORD.' ⁽¹⁸⁾ For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.

Luke Chapter 18

⁽³¹⁾ Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, 'Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished. ⁽³²⁾ For He will be delivered to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon. ⁽³³⁾ They will scourge Him and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.' ⁽³⁴⁾ But they understood none of these things; this saying was hidden from them, and they did not know the things which were spoken.

⁽³⁵⁾ Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging. ⁽³⁶⁾ And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant. ⁽³⁷⁾ So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. ⁽³⁸⁾ And he cried out, saying, 'Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!'

⁽³⁹⁾ Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, 'Son of David, have mercy on me!' ⁽⁴⁰⁾ So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him, ⁽⁴¹⁾ saying, 'What do you want Me to do for you?' He said, 'Lord, that I may receive my sight.' ⁽⁴²⁾ Then Jesus said to him, 'Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.'

⁽⁴³⁾ And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
  On the third day he rose again.
  He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
  He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
