Epiphany
I will give you as a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth. Isaiah 49:6b

You are no longer strangers and sojourners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God. Ephesians 2:19

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 87

Psalm 90

Isaiah Chapter 61

2 Timothy Chapter 4

⁽¹⁾ I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: ⁽²⁾ Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. ⁽³⁾ For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; ⁽⁴⁾ and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

⁽⁵⁾ But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. ⁽⁶⁾ For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. ⁽⁷⁾ I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. ⁽⁸⁾ Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Mark Chapter 10

⁽⁴⁶⁾ Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. ⁽⁴⁷⁾ And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, 'Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!' ⁽⁴⁸⁾ Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, 'Son of David, have mercy on me!' ⁽⁴⁹⁾ So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, 'Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.'

⁽⁵⁰⁾ And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. ⁽⁵¹⁾ So Jesus answered and said to him, 'What do you want Me to do for you?' The blind man said to Him, 'Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.' ⁽⁵²⁾ Then Jesus said to him, 'Go your way; your faith has made you well.' And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

Seasonal Collect:  Fifth Sunday after the Epiphany
Set us free, O God, from the bondage of our sins, and give us the liberty of that abundant life which you have made known to us in your Son our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Collect of the Day: Almighty God, who after the creation of the world rested from all your works and sanctified a day of rest for all your creatures: Grant that we, putting away all earthly anxieties, may be duly prepared for the service of your sanctuary, and that our rest here upon earth may be a preparation for the eternal rest promised to your people in heaven; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
