Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 18

⁽¹⁾ I will love You, O LORD, my strength. ⁽²⁾ The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. ⁽³⁾ I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies. ⁽⁴⁾ The pangs of death surrounded me, And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.

⁽⁵⁾ The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. ⁽⁶⁾ In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears. ⁽⁷⁾ Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations of the hills also quaked and were shaken, Because He was angry. ⁽⁸⁾ Smoke went up from His nostrils, And devouring fire from His mouth; Coals were kindled by it.

Job Chapter 8

⁽¹⁾ Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said: ⁽²⁾ How long will you speak these things, And the words of your mouth be like a strong wind? ⁽³⁾ Does God subvert judgment? Or does the Almighty pervert justice? ⁽⁴⁾ If your sons have sinned against Him, He has cast them away for their transgression.

⁽⁵⁾ If you would earnestly seek God And make your supplication to the Almighty, ⁽⁶⁾ If you were pure and upright, Surely now He would awake for you, And prosper your rightful dwelling place. ⁽⁷⁾ Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly. ⁽⁸⁾ For inquire, please, of the former age, And consider the things discovered by their fathers;

Acts Chapter 10

⁽¹⁷⁾ Now while Peter wondered within himself what this vision which he had seen meant, behold, the men who had been sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate. ⁽¹⁸⁾ And they called and asked whether Simon, whose surname was Peter, was lodging there. ⁽¹⁹⁾ While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, 'Behold, three men are seeking you. ⁽²⁰⁾ Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them.'

⁽²¹⁾ Then Peter went down to the men who had been sent to him from Cornelius, and said, 'Yes, I am he whom you seek. For what reason have you come?' ⁽²²⁾ And they said, 'Cornelius the centurion, a just man, one who fears God and has a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by a holy angel to summon you to his house, and to hear words from you.' ⁽²³⁾ Then he invited them in and lodged them. On the next day Peter went away with them, and some brethren from Joppa accompanied him. ⁽²⁴⁾ And the following day they entered Caesarea. Now Cornelius was waiting for them, and had called together his relatives and close friends.

⁽²⁵⁾ As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him. ⁽²⁶⁾ But Peter lifted him up, saying, 'Stand up; I myself am also a man.' ⁽²⁷⁾ And as he talked with him, he went in and found many who had come together. ⁽²⁸⁾ Then he said to them, 'You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

⁽²⁹⁾ Therefore I came without objection as soon as I was sent for. I ask, then, for what reason have you sent for me?' ⁽³⁰⁾ So Cornelius said, 'Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, ⁽³¹⁾ and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your alms are remembered in the sight of God. ⁽³²⁾ Send therefore to Joppa and call Simon here, whose surname is Peter. He is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea. When he comes, he will speak to you.'

⁽³³⁾ So I sent to you immediately, and you have done well to come. Now therefore, we are all present before God, to hear all the things commanded you by God.'

John Chapter 7

⁽¹⁴⁾ Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught. ⁽¹⁵⁾ And the Jews marveled, saying, 'How does this Man know letters, having never studied?' ⁽¹⁶⁾ Jesus answered them and said, 'My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. ⁽¹⁷⁾ If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.

⁽¹⁸⁾ He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him. ⁽¹⁹⁾ Did not Moses give you the law, yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill Me?' ⁽²⁰⁾ The people answered and said, 'You have a demon. Who is seeking to kill You?' ⁽²¹⁾ Jesus answered and said to them, 'I did one work, and you all marvel.

⁽²²⁾ Moses therefore gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. ⁽²³⁾ If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath? ⁽²⁴⁾ Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.' ⁽²⁵⁾ Now some of them from Jerusalem said, 'Is this not He whom they seek to kill?

⁽²⁶⁾ But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ? ⁽²⁷⁾ However, we know where this Man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from.' ⁽²⁸⁾ Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, 'You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. ⁽²⁹⁾ But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me.'

⁽³⁰⁾ Therefore they sought to take Him; but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come. ⁽³¹⁾ And many of the people believed in Him, and said, 'When the Christ comes, will He do more signs than these which this Man has done?' ⁽³²⁾ The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things concerning Him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take Him. ⁽³³⁾ Then Jesus said to them, 'I shall be with you a little while longer, and then I go to Him who sent Me.

⁽³⁴⁾ You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am you cannot come.' ⁽³⁵⁾ Then the Jews said among themselves, 'Where does He intend to go that we shall not find Him? Does He intend to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks? ⁽³⁶⁾ What is this thing that He said, 'You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am you cannot come'?'

I will sing to the Lord, for he is lofty and uplifted;

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
  On the third day he rose again.
  He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
  He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
