Easter
You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 66

Exodus Chapter 3

⁽¹⁾ Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. ⁽²⁾ And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. ⁽³⁾ Then Moses said, 'I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.' ⁽⁴⁾ So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, 'Moses, Moses!' Hebrews Chapter 12

⁽¹⁸⁾ For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest, ⁽¹⁹⁾ and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that those who heard it begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore. ⁽²⁰⁾ (For they could not endure what was commanded: 'And if so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned or shot with an arrow.' ⁽²¹⁾ And so terrifying was the sight that Moses said, 'I am exceedingly afraid and trembling.')

⁽²²⁾ But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, ⁽²³⁾ to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, ⁽²⁴⁾ to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. ⁽²⁵⁾ See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,

⁽²⁶⁾ whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, 'Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.' ⁽²⁷⁾ Now this, 'Yet once more,' indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. ⁽²⁸⁾ Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. ⁽²⁹⁾ For our God is a consuming fire.

Matthew Chapter 10

⁽¹⁷⁾ But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. ⁽¹⁸⁾ You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. ⁽¹⁹⁾ But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; ⁽²⁰⁾ for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

⁽²¹⁾ Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. ⁽²²⁾ And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. ⁽²³⁾ When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes. ⁽²⁴⁾ A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.

The Song of Zechariah Luke 1: 68 to 79
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty savior,
born of the house of his servant David.
Through his holy prophets he promised of old,
that he would save us from our enemies,
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant.
This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham,
to set us free from the hands of our enemies,
Free to worship him without fear,
holy and righteous in his sight
all the days of our life.
You, my child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High,

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.

O God, the King of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: Do not leave us comfortless, but send us your Holy Spirit to strengthen us, and exalt us to that place where our Savior Christ has gone before; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, in glory everlasting.
