Easter
You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 87

Psalm 90

Numbers Chapter 11

⁽¹⁶⁾ So the LORD said to Moses: 'Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; bring them to the tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you. ⁽¹⁷⁾ Then I will come down and talk with you there. ⁽²⁸⁾ So Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' assistant, one of his choice men, answered and said, 'Moses my lord, forbid them!' ⁽²⁹⁾ Then Moses said to him, 'Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the LORD's people were prophets and that the LORD would put His Spirit upon them!'

Ephesians Chapter 2

⁽¹¹⁾ Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh -- who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands -- ⁽¹²⁾ that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. ⁽¹³⁾ But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. ⁽¹⁴⁾ For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,

⁽¹⁵⁾ having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, ⁽¹⁶⁾ and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. ⁽¹⁷⁾ And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. ⁽¹⁸⁾ For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

⁽¹⁹⁾ Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, ⁽²⁰⁾ having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, ⁽²¹⁾ in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, ⁽²²⁾ in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Matthew Chapter 7

Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. ⁽⁴⁾ And Jesus said to him, 'See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.'

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

O God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as surpass our understanding: Pour into our hearts such love towards you, that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Collect of the Day: Almighty God, who after the creation of the world rested from all your works and sanctified a day of rest for all your creatures: Grant that we, putting away all earthly anxieties, may be duly prepared for the service of your sanctuary, and that our rest here upon earth may be a preparation for the eternal rest promised to your people in heaven; through Jesus Christ our Lord. A Prayer for Mission: Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within the reach of your saving embrace: So clothe us in your Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do not know you to the knowledge and love of you; for the honor of your Name.
