Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Christ our Passover has been sacrificed for us;

The death that he died, he died to sin, once for all;
but the life he lives, he lives to God.

Venite

ⓘ 'Venite' is Latin for 'O Come,' the opening word of Psalm 95: Venite exultemus Domino ('O Come, let us sing to the LORD').

Psalm 95:1 to 7
Come, let us sing to the Lord;
   let us shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving
   and raise a loud shout to him with psalms.

For the Lord is a great God,
   and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the caverns of the earth,
   and the heights of the hills are his also.
The sea is his, for he made it,
   and his hands have molded the dry land.

Come, let us bow down, and bend the knee,
   and kneel before the Lord our Maker.
For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand.
    Oh, that today you would hearken to his voice!

The Lessons

Psalm 85

⁽¹⁾ Lord, You have been favorable to Your land; You have brought back the captivity of Jacob.⁽²⁾ You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people; You have covered all their sin. Selah⁽³⁾ You have taken away all Your wrath; You have turned from the fierceness of Your anger.⁽⁴⁾ Restore us, O God of our salvation, And cause Your anger toward us to cease.

⁽⁵⁾ Will You be angry with us forever? Will You prolong Your anger to all generations?⁽⁶⁾ Will You not revive us again, That Your people may rejoice in You?⁽⁷⁾ Show us Your mercy, LORD, And grant us Your salvation.⁽⁸⁾ I will hear what God the LORD will speak, For He will speak peace To His people and to His saints; But let them not turn back to folly.

Psalm 86

⁽¹⁾ Bow down Your ear, O LORD, hear me; For I am poor and needy.⁽²⁾ Preserve my life, for I am holy; You are my God; Save Your servant who trusts in You!⁽³⁾ Be merciful to me, O Lord, For I cry to You all day long.⁽⁴⁾ Rejoice the soul of Your servant, For to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.

1 Samuel Chapter 2

Ephesians Chapter 2

⁽¹⁾ And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,⁽²⁾ in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,⁽³⁾ among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.⁽⁴⁾ But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

⁽⁵⁾ even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),⁽⁶⁾ and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,⁽⁷⁾ that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.⁽⁸⁾ For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

Matthew Chapter 7

⁽²²⁾ Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'⁽²³⁾ And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'⁽²⁴⁾ Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:⁽²⁵⁾ and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

The Second Song of Isaiah Isaiah 55:6 to 11

Seek the Lord while he wills to be found;

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,

A Prayer for Mission: O God, you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth, and sent your blessed Son to preach peace to those who are far off and to those who are near: Grant that people everywhere may seek after you and find you; bring the nations into your fold; pour out your Spirit upon all flesh; and hasten the coming of your kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
