Easter
Christ has entered, not into a sanctuary made with hands, a copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf. Hebrews 9:24

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

The death that he died, he died to sin, once for all;

Psalm 63

⁽¹⁾ O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. ⁽²⁾ So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. ⁽³⁾ Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. ⁽⁴⁾ Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.

Psalm 98

Exodus Chapter 28

⁽¹⁾ Now take Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister to Me as priest, Aaron and Aaron's sons: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. ⁽²⁾ And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty. ⁽³⁾ So you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments, to consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest. ⁽⁴⁾ And these are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a skillfully woven tunic, a turban, and a sash. So they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may minister to Me as priest.

⁽³⁰⁾ And you shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim, and they shall be over Aaron's heart when he goes in before the LORD. So Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel over his heart before the LORD continually. ⁽³¹⁾ You shall make the robe of the ephod all of blue. ⁽³²⁾ There shall be an opening for his head in the middle of it; it shall have a woven binding all around its opening, like the opening in a coat of mail, so that it does not tear. ⁽³³⁾ And upon its hem you shall make pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet, all around its hem, and bells of gold between them all around:

1 John Chapter 2

⁽²²⁾ Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. ⁽²³⁾ Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. ⁽²⁴⁾ Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. ⁽²⁵⁾ And this is the promise that He has promised us -- eternal life.

⁽²⁶⁾ These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. ⁽²⁷⁾ But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. ⁽²⁸⁾ And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. ⁽²⁹⁾ If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

Mark Chapter 6

⁽³⁰⁾ Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught. ⁽³¹⁾ And He said to them, 'Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.' For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat. ⁽³²⁾ So they departed to a deserted place in the boat by themselves. ⁽³³⁾ But the multitudes saw them departing, and many knew Him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to Him.

⁽³⁴⁾ And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things. ⁽³⁵⁾ When the day was now far spent, His disciples came to Him and said, 'This is a deserted place, and already the hour is late. ⁽³⁶⁾ Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat.' ⁽³⁷⁾ But He answered and said to them, 'You give them something to eat.' And they said to Him, 'Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?'

⁽³⁸⁾ But He said to them, 'How many loaves do you have? Go and see.' And when they found out they said, 'Five, and two fish.' ⁽³⁹⁾ Then He commanded them to make them all sit down in groups on the green grass. ⁽⁴⁰⁾ So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties. ⁽⁴¹⁾ And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all.

⁽⁴²⁾ So they all ate and were filled. ⁽⁴³⁾ And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish. ⁽⁴⁴⁾ Now those who had eaten the loaves were about five thousand men.

The Song of Zechariah Luke 1: 68 to 79
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty savior,
born of the house of his servant David.
Through his holy prophets he promised of old,
that he would save us from our enemies,
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant.
This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham,
to set us free from the hands of our enemies,
Free to worship him without fear,
holy and righteous in his sight
all the days of our life.
You, my child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High,
for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way,
To give his people knowledge of salvation
by the forgiveness of their sins.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
  On the third day he rose again.
  He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

Seasonal Collect:  Fourth Sunday of Easter
O God, whose Son Jesus is the good shepherd of your people: Grant that when we hear his voice we may know him who calls us each by name, and follow where he leads; who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Collect of the Day: O God, you make us glad with the weekly remembrance of the glorious resurrection of your Son our Lord: Give us this day such blessing through our worship of you, that the week to come may be spent in your favor; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
