Easter
On this day the Lord has acted; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

The death that he died, he died to sin, once for all;

Psalm 146

⁽¹⁾ Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! ⁽²⁾ While I live I will praise the LORD; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. ⁽³⁾ Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. ⁽⁴⁾ His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish.

⁽⁵⁾ Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God, ⁽⁶⁾ Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever, ⁽⁷⁾ Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. Psalm 147

⁽¹⁾ Praise the LORD! Exodus Chapter 14

⁽⁵⁾ Now it was told the king of Egypt that the people had fled, and the heart of Pharaoh and his servants was turned against the people; and they said, 'Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?' ⁽⁶⁾ So he made ready his chariot and took his people with him. ⁽⁷⁾ Also, he took six hundred choice chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt with captains over every one of them. ⁽⁸⁾ And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued the children of Israel; and the children of Israel went out with boldness.

Tell the children of Israel to go forward. ⁽¹⁶⁾ But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. ⁽¹⁷⁾ And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. 1 John Chapter 1

⁽¹⁾ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life -- ⁽²⁾ the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us -- ⁽³⁾ that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. ⁽⁴⁾ And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.

⁽⁵⁾ This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. ⁽⁶⁾ If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. ⁽⁷⁾ But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

John Chapter 14

⁽⁵⁾ Thomas said to Him, 'Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?' ⁽⁶⁾ Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. The Song of Zechariah Luke 1: 68 to 79
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty savior,
born of the house of his servant David.
Through his holy prophets he promised of old,
that he would save us from our enemies,
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant.
This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham,
to set us free from the hands of our enemies,

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.

  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.

Almighty and everlasting God, who in the Paschal mystery established the new covenant of reconciliation: Grant that all who have been reborn into the fellowship of Christ’s Body may show forth in their lives what they profess by their faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
