Easter Week
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Christ our Passover has been sacrificed for us;

The death that he died, he died to sin, once for all;
  but the life he lives, he lives to God.

Psalm 93

Psalm 98

Exodus Chapter 12

⁽¹⁴⁾ So this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to the LORD throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance. ⁽¹⁵⁾ Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall remove leaven from your houses. For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel. ⁽¹⁶⁾ On the first day there shall be a holy convocation, and on the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation for you. No manner of work shall be done on them; but that which everyone must eat -- that only may be prepared by you. ⁽¹⁷⁾ So you shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for on this same day I will have brought your armies out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations as an everlasting ordinance.

' ⁽²¹⁾ Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to them, 'Pick out and take lambs for yourselves according to your families, and kill the Passover lamb.

⁽²²⁾ And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning. ⁽²³⁾ For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you. ⁽²⁴⁾ And you shall observe this thing as an ordinance for you and your sons forever. ⁽²⁵⁾ It will come to pass when you come to the land which the LORD will give you, just as He promised, that you shall keep this service.

⁽²⁶⁾ And it shall be, when your children say to you, 'What do you mean by this service?' ⁽²⁷⁾ that you shall say, 'It is the Passover sacrifice of the LORD, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households.' ' So the people bowed their heads and worshiped.

1 Corinthians Chapter 15

⁽¹⁾ Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, ⁽²⁾ by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you -- unless you believed in vain. ⁽³⁾ For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, ⁽⁴⁾ and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

Mark Chapter 16

⁽¹⁾ Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. ⁽²⁾ Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. ⁽³⁾ And they said among themselves, 'Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?' ⁽⁴⁾ But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away -- for it was very large.

⁽⁵⁾ And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. ⁽⁶⁾ But he said to them, 'Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. ⁽⁷⁾ But go, tell His disciples -- and Peter -- that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.' ⁽⁸⁾ So they went out quickly and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed. And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
  On the third day he rose again.
  He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
  He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,

Grant, we pray, Almighty God, that we who celebrate with awe the Paschal feast may be found worthy to attain to everlasting joys; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Collect of the Day: O God, the King eternal, whose light divides the day from the night and turns the shadow of death into the morning: Drive far from us all wrong desires, incline our hearts to keep your law, and guide our feet into the way of peace; that, having done your will with cheerfulness while it was day, we may, when night comes, rejoice to give you thanks; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
