Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 118

⁽¹⁾ Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. ⁽²⁾ Let Israel now say, 'His mercy endures forever.' ⁽³⁾ Let the house of Aaron now say, 'His mercy endures forever.' ⁽⁴⁾ Let those who fear the LORD now say, 'His mercy endures forever.'

⁽⁵⁾ I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD answered me and set me in a broad place. ⁽⁶⁾ The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. Exodus Chapter 3

⁽¹⁶⁾ Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, 'The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, 'I have surely visited you and seen what is done to you in Egypt; ⁽¹⁷⁾ and I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.' ' ⁽¹⁸⁾ Then they will heed your voice; and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt; and you shall say to him, 'The LORD God of the Hebrews has met with us; and now, please, let us go three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.' ⁽¹⁹⁾ But I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not even by a mighty hand.

So you shall plunder the Egyptians.' ⁽¹⁾ Then Moses answered and said, 'But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice; suppose they say, 'The LORD has not appeared to you.' ' ⁽²⁾ So the LORD said to him, 'What is that in your hand?' He said, 'A rod.' ⁽³⁾ And He said, 'Cast it on the ground.' So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. ⁽⁴⁾ Then the LORD said to Moses, 'Reach out your hand and take it by the tail' (and he reached out his hand and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand),

⁽⁵⁾ that they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.' ⁽⁶⁾ Furthermore the LORD said to him, 'Now put your hand in your bosom.' And he put his hand in his bosom, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, like snow. ⁽⁷⁾ And He said, 'Put your hand in your bosom again.' So he put his hand in his bosom again, and drew it out of his bosom, and behold, it was restored like his other flesh. ⁽⁸⁾ Then it will be, if they do not believe you, nor heed the message of the first sign, that they may believe the message of the latter sign.

⁽⁹⁾ And it shall be, if they do not believe even these two signs, or listen to your voice, that you shall take water from the river and pour it on the dry land. And the water which you take from the river will become blood on the dry land.' ⁽¹⁰⁾ Then Moses said to the LORD, 'O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.' ⁽¹¹⁾ So the LORD said to him, 'Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? ⁽¹²⁾ Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.'

Romans Chapter 12

⁽¹⁾ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. ⁽²⁾ And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. ⁽³⁾ For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. ⁽⁴⁾ For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,

⁽⁵⁾ so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. ⁽⁶⁾ Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; ⁽⁷⁾ or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; ⁽⁸⁾ he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

⁽⁹⁾ Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. ⁽¹⁰⁾ Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; ⁽¹¹⁾ not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; ⁽¹²⁾ rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;

⁽¹³⁾ distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. ⁽¹⁴⁾ Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. ⁽¹⁵⁾ Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. ⁽¹⁶⁾ Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

⁽¹⁷⁾ Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. ⁽¹⁸⁾ If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. ⁽¹⁹⁾ Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, 'Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,' says the Lord. ⁽²⁰⁾ Therefore 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.'

John Chapter 8

⁽⁴⁶⁾ Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? ⁽⁴⁷⁾ He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.' ⁽⁴⁸⁾ Then the Jews answered and said to Him, 'Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?' ⁽⁴⁹⁾ Jesus answered, 'I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me.

⁽⁵⁰⁾ And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges. ⁽⁵¹⁾ Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.' ⁽⁵²⁾ Then the Jews said to Him, 'Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, 'If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.' ⁽⁵³⁾ Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Whom do You make Yourself out to be?'

⁽⁵⁴⁾ Jesus answered, 'If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God. ⁽⁵⁵⁾ Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, 'I do not know Him,' I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word. ⁽⁵⁶⁾ Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.' ⁽⁵⁷⁾ Then the Jews said to Him, 'You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?'

⁽⁵⁸⁾ Jesus said to them, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.' ⁽⁵⁹⁾ Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

The Song of Zechariah Luke 1: 68 to 79
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty savior,
born of the house of his servant David.
Through his holy prophets he promised of old,
that he would save us from our enemies,
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant.
This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham,
to set us free from the hands of our enemies,
Free to worship him without fear,
holy and righteous in his sight
all the days of our life.
You, my child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High,
for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way,
To give his people knowledge of salvation
by the forgiveness of their sins.
In the tender compassion of our God
the dawn from on high shall break upon us,
To shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death,
and to guide our feet into the way of peace.

O Lord and Ruler of the hosts of heaven,
God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,
and of all their righteous offspring:
You made the heavens and the earth,
with all their vast array.
All things quake with fear at your presence;
they tremble because of your power.
But your merciful promise is beyond all measure;
it surpasses all that our minds can fathom.
O Lord, you are full of compassion,
long-suffering, and abounding in mercy.
You hold back your hand;
you do not punish as we deserve.
In your great goodness, Lord,
you have promised forgiveness to sinners,

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
