Most merciful God,

(21) Evil shall slay the wicked, And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. (22) The LORD redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

(7) And the angel of the LORD came back the second time, and touched him, and said, 'Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.' (8) So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God.

(10) He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.) (11) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, (12) for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
(13) till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; (14) that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, (15) but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head -- Christ -- (16) from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

(5) Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, 'Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?' (6) But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do. (7) Philip answered Him, 'Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.' (8) One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to Him,
(9) There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?' (10) Then Jesus said, 'Make the people sit down.' Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. (11) And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. (12) So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, 'Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.'
(13) Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. (14) Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, 'This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.'
