Ordinary Time
The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for such the Father seeks to worship him. John 4:23

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Nehemiah Chapter 12

⁽²⁷⁾ Now at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought out the Levites in all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem to celebrate the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings and singing, with cymbals and stringed instruments and harps. ⁽²⁸⁾ And the sons of the singers gathered together from the countryside around Jerusalem, from the villages of the Netophathites, ⁽²⁹⁾ from the house of Gilgal, and from the fields of Geba and Azmaveth; for the singers had built themselves villages all around Jerusalem. ⁽³⁰⁾ Then the priests and Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, the gates, and the wall.

⁽³¹⁾ So I brought the leaders of Judah up on the wall, and appointed two large thanksgiving choirs. One went to the right hand on the wall toward the Refuse Gate. ⁽⁴²⁾ also Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam, and Ezer. The singers sang loudly with Jezrahiah the director. ⁽⁴³⁾ Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women and the children also rejoiced, so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard afar off. ⁽⁴⁴⁾ And at the same time some were appointed over the rooms of the storehouse for the offerings, the firstfruits, and the tithes, to gather into them from the fields of the cities the portions specified by the Law for the priests and Levites; for Judah rejoiced over the priests and Levites who ministered. ⁽⁴⁵⁾ Both the singers and the gatekeepers kept the charge of their God and the charge of the purification, according to the command of David and Solomon his son.

⁽⁴⁶⁾ For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chiefs of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving to God. ⁽⁴⁷⁾ In the days of Zerubbabel and in the days of Nehemiah all Israel gave the portions for the singers and the gatekeepers, a portion for each day. They also consecrated holy things for the Levites, and the Levites consecrated them for the children of Aaron.

Revelation Chapter 11

⁽¹⁾ Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, 'Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. ⁽²⁾ But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months. ⁽³⁾ And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.' ⁽⁴⁾ These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth.

⁽⁵⁾ And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. ⁽⁶⁾ These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire. ⁽⁷⁾ When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. ⁽⁸⁾ And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.

In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven. ⁽¹⁴⁾ The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly. ⁽¹⁵⁾ Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, 'The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!' ⁽¹⁶⁾ And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God,

⁽¹⁷⁾ saying: 'We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned. ⁽¹⁸⁾ The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth.' ⁽¹⁹⁾ Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.

Matthew Chapter 13

⁽⁴⁴⁾ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. ⁽⁴⁵⁾ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, ⁽⁴⁶⁾ who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it. ⁽⁴⁷⁾ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind,

⁽⁴⁸⁾ which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away. ⁽⁴⁹⁾ So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, ⁽⁵⁰⁾ and cast them into the furnace of fire. The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
