Send out your light and your truth, that they may lead me, and bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling. Psalm 43:3

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 107

⁽³³⁾ He turns rivers into a wilderness, And the watersprings into dry ground; ⁽³⁴⁾ A fruitful land into barrenness, For the wickedness of those who dwell in it. ⁽³⁵⁾ He turns a wilderness into pools of water, And dry land into watersprings. ⁽³⁶⁾ There He makes the hungry dwell, That they may establish a city for a dwelling place,

⁽³⁷⁾ And sow fields and plant vineyards, That they may yield a fruitful harvest. ⁽³⁸⁾ He also blesses them, and they multiply greatly; And He does not let their cattle decrease. ⁽³⁹⁾ When they are diminished and brought low Through oppression, affliction and sorrow, ⁽⁴⁰⁾ He pours contempt on princes, And causes them to wander in the wilderness where there is no way;

Psalm 108

Hosea Chapter 11

⁽¹⁾ When Israel was a child, I loved him, And out of Egypt I called My son. ⁽²⁾ As they called them, So they went from them; They sacrificed to the Baals, And burned incense to carved images. ⁽³⁾ I taught Ephraim to walk, Taking them by their arms; But they did not know that I healed them. ⁽⁴⁾ I drew them with gentle cords, With bands of love, And I was to them as those who take the yoke from their neck. I stooped and fed them.

⁽⁵⁾ He shall not return to the land of Egypt; But the Assyrian shall be his king, Because they refused to repent. ⁽⁶⁾ And the sword shall slash in his cities, Devour his districts, And consume them, Because of their own counsels. ⁽⁷⁾ My people are bent on backsliding from Me. Acts Chapter 22

⁽¹⁷⁾ Now it happened, when I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, that I was in a trance ⁽¹⁸⁾ and saw Him saying to me, 'Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly, for they will not receive your testimony concerning Me.' ⁽¹⁹⁾ So I said, 'Lord, they know that in every synagogue I imprisoned and beat those who believe on You. ⁽²⁰⁾ And when the blood of Your martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by consenting to his death, and guarding the clothes of those who were killing him.'

⁽²¹⁾ Then He said to me, 'Depart, for I will send you far from here to the Gentiles.' ' ⁽²²⁾ And they listened to him until this word, and then they raised their voices and said, 'Away with such a fellow from the earth, for he is not fit to live!' ⁽²³⁾ Then, as they cried out and tore off their clothes and threw dust into the air, ⁽²⁴⁾ the commander ordered him to be brought into the barracks, and said that he should be examined under scourging, so that he might know why they shouted so against him.

⁽²⁵⁾ And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said to the centurion who stood by, 'Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman, and uncondemned?' ⁽²⁶⁾ When the centurion heard that, he went and told the commander, saying, 'Take care what you do, for this man is a Roman.' ⁽²⁷⁾ Then the commander came and said to him, 'Tell me, are you a Roman?' He said, 'Yes.' ⁽²⁸⁾ The commander answered, 'With a large sum I obtained this citizenship.' And Paul said, 'But I was born a citizen.'

⁽²⁹⁾ Then immediately those who were about to examine him withdrew from him; and the commander was also afraid after he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.

Luke Chapter 6

⁽²⁷⁾ But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, ⁽²⁸⁾ bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. ⁽²⁹⁾ To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. ⁽³⁰⁾ Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

O God, you declare your almighty power chiefly in showing mercy and pity: Grant us the fullness of your grace, that we, running to obtain your promises, may become partakers of your heavenly treasure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
