Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 26

⁽¹⁾ Vindicate me, O LORD, For I have walked in my integrity. Psalm 28

Genesis Chapter 9

⁽¹⁾ So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. ⁽²⁾ And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. ⁽³⁾ Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs. ⁽⁴⁾ But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.

⁽¹³⁾ I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. ⁽¹⁴⁾ It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; ⁽¹⁵⁾ and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. ⁽¹⁶⁾ The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.'

Hebrews Chapter 5

⁽⁷⁾ who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, ⁽⁸⁾ though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. ⁽⁹⁾ And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, ⁽¹⁰⁾ called by God as High Priest 'according to the order of Melchizedek,'

⁽¹¹⁾ of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. ⁽¹²⁾ For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. ⁽¹³⁾ For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. ⁽¹⁴⁾ But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

John Chapter 3

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

Almighty God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ is the light of the world: Grant that your people, illumined by your Word and Sacraments, may shine with the radiance of Christ’s glory, that he may be known, worshiped, and obeyed to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, now and forever. Amen.
