Ordinary Time
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 41

⁽¹⁾ Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. ⁽²⁾ The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. ⁽³⁾ The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed. ⁽⁴⁾ I said, 'LORD, be merciful to me; Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.'

Psalm 52

1 Kings Chapter 13

⁽¹⁾ And behold, a man of God went from Judah to Bethel by the word of the LORD, and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense. ⁽²⁾ Then he cried out against the altar by the word of the LORD, and said, 'O altar, altar! Thus says the LORD: 'Behold, a child, Josiah by name, shall be born to the house of David; and on you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and men's bones shall be burned on you.' ' ⁽³⁾ And he gave a sign the same day, saying, 'This is the sign which the LORD has spoken: Surely the altar shall split apart, and the ashes on it shall be poured out.' ⁽⁴⁾ So it came to pass when King Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, who cried out against the altar in Bethel, that he stretched out his hand from the altar, saying, 'Arrest him!' Then his hand, which he stretched out toward him, withered, so that he could not pull it back to himself.

⁽⁵⁾ The altar also was split apart, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD. ⁽⁶⁾ Then the king answered and said to the man of God, 'Please entreat the favor of the LORD your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me.' So the man of God entreated the LORD, and the king's hand was restored to him, and became as before. ⁽⁷⁾ Then the king said to the man of God, 'Come home with me and refresh yourself, and I will give you a reward.' ⁽⁸⁾ But the man of God said to the king, 'If you were to give me half your house, I would not go in with you; nor would I eat bread nor drink water in this place.

⁽⁹⁾ For so it was commanded me by the word of the LORD, saying, 'You shall not eat bread, nor drink water, nor return by the same way you came.' ' ⁽¹⁰⁾ So he went another way and did not return by the way he came to Bethel.

Philippians Chapter 1

⁽⁵⁾ for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, ⁽⁶⁾ being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; ⁽⁷⁾ just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace. ⁽⁸⁾ For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ.

Mark Chapter 15

⁽⁴⁰⁾ There were also women looking on from afar, among whom were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the Less and of Joses, and Salome, ⁽⁴¹⁾ who also followed Him and ministered to Him when He was in Galilee, and many other women who came up with Him to Jerusalem. ⁽⁴²⁾ Now when evening had come, because it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath, ⁽⁴³⁾ Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent council member, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, coming and taking courage, went in to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.

⁽⁴⁴⁾ Pilate marveled that He was already dead; and summoning the centurion, he asked him if He had been dead for some time. ⁽⁴⁵⁾ So when he found out from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph. ⁽⁴⁶⁾ Then he bought fine linen, took Him down, and wrapped Him in the linen. And he laid Him in a tomb which had been hewn out of the rock, and rolled a stone against the door of the tomb. ⁽⁴⁷⁾ And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses observed where He was laid.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
  On the third day he rose again.
  He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
  He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
