Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 63

⁽¹⁾ O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. ⁽²⁾ So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. ⁽³⁾ Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. ⁽⁴⁾ Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.

Psalm 98

1 Samuel Chapter 23

⁽⁷⁾ And Saul was told that David had gone to Keilah. So Saul said, 'God has delivered him into my hand, for he has shut himself in by entering a town that has gates and bars.' ⁽⁸⁾ Then Saul called all the people together for war, to go down to Keilah to besiege David and his men. ⁽⁹⁾ When David knew that Saul plotted evil against him, he said to Abiathar the priest, 'Bring the ephod here.' ⁽¹⁰⁾ Then David said, 'O LORD God of Israel, Your servant has certainly heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city for my sake.

⁽¹¹⁾ Will the men of Keilah deliver me into his hand? Will Saul come down, as Your servant has heard? O LORD God of Israel, I pray, tell Your servant.' And the LORD said, 'He will come down.' ⁽¹²⁾ Then David said, 'Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?' And the LORD said, 'They will deliver you.' ⁽¹³⁾ So David and his men, about six hundred, arose and departed from Keilah and went wherever they could go. Then it was told Saul that David had escaped from Keilah; so he halted the expedition. ⁽¹⁴⁾ And David stayed in strongholds in the wilderness, and remained in the mountains in the Wilderness of Ziph. Saul sought him every day, but God did not deliver him into his hand.

⁽¹⁵⁾ So David saw that Saul had come out to seek his life. And David was in the Wilderness of Ziph in a forest. ⁽¹⁶⁾ Then Jonathan, Saul's son, arose and went to David in the woods and strengthened his hand in God. ⁽¹⁷⁾ And he said to him, 'Do not fear, for the hand of Saul my father shall not find you. You shall be king over Israel, and I shall be next to you. Even my father Saul knows that.' ⁽¹⁸⁾ So the two of them made a covenant before the LORD. And David stayed in the woods, and Jonathan went to his own house.

Romans Chapter 11

⁽³³⁾ Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! ⁽³⁴⁾ For who has known the mind of the LORD? Or who has become His counselor?' ⁽³⁵⁾ Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?' ⁽³⁶⁾ For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

⁽¹⁾ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. ⁽²⁾ And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Matthew Chapter 25

⁽¹⁴⁾ For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. ⁽¹⁵⁾ And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. ⁽¹⁶⁾ Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. ⁽¹⁷⁾ And likewise he who had received two gained two more also.

Look, there you have what is yours.'

⁽²⁶⁾ But his lord answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. ⁽²⁷⁾ So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. ⁽²⁸⁾ Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. ⁽²⁹⁾ For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

⁽³⁰⁾ And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

The Song of Zechariah Luke 1: 68 to 79
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty savior,
born of the house of his servant David.
Through his holy prophets he promised of old,
that he would save us from our enemies,
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant.
This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham,
to set us free from the hands of our enemies,

all the days of our life.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
