Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 5

⁽¹⁾ Give ear to my words, O LORD, Consider my meditation. ⁽²⁾ Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray. ⁽³⁾ My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up. ⁽⁴⁾ For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You.

Psalm 6

Isaiah Chapter 40

⁽²⁵⁾ To whom then will you liken Me, Or to whom shall I be equal?' says the Holy One. ⁽²⁶⁾ Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power; Not one is missing. ⁽²⁷⁾ Why do you say, O Jacob, And speak, O Israel: 'My way is hidden from the LORD, And my just claim is passed over by my God'? ⁽²⁸⁾ Have you not known? Ephesians Chapter 1

Mark Chapter 1

⁽¹⁴⁾ Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, ⁽¹⁵⁾ and saying, 'The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.' ⁽¹⁶⁾ And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. ⁽¹⁷⁾ Then Jesus said to them, 'Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.'

⁽¹⁸⁾ They immediately left their nets and followed Him. ⁽¹⁹⁾ When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets. ⁽²⁰⁾ And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after Him. ⁽²¹⁾ Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught.

⁽²²⁾ And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. ⁽²³⁾ Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, ⁽²⁴⁾ saying, 'Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are -- the Holy One of God!' ⁽²⁵⁾ But Jesus rebuked him, saying, 'Be quiet, and come out of him!'

⁽²⁶⁾ And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. ⁽²⁷⁾ Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, 'What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.' ⁽²⁸⁾ And immediately His fame spread throughout all the region around Galilee.

A Song to the Lamb       Revelation 4:11, 5:9 to 10, 13

Splendor and honor and kingly power
are yours by right, O Lord our God,
For you created everything that is,
and by your will they were created
  and have their being;
And yours by right, O Lamb that was slain,
for with your blood you have redeemed for God,
From every family, language, people, and nation,
a kingdom of priests to serve our God.
And so, to him who sits upon the throne,
and to Christ the Lamb,
Be worship and praise, dominion and splendor,

The Song of Zechariah Luke 1: 68 to 79

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty savior,
born of the house of his servant David.

Through his holy prophets he promised of old,
that he would save us from our enemies,
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant.

This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham,
to set us free from the hands of our enemies,
Free to worship him without fear,
holy and righteous in his sight
all the days of our life.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
  On the third day he rose again.
  He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
  He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
