The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for such the Father seeks to worship him. John 4:23

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Venite

Psalm 95:1 to 7
Come, let us sing to the Lord;
   let us shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving
   and raise a loud shout to him with psalms.

For the Lord is a great God,
   and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the caverns of the earth,
   and the heights of the hills are his also.
The sea is his, for he made it,
   and his hands have molded the dry land.

Come, let us bow down, and bend the knee,
   and kneel before the Lord our Maker.
For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand.

Psalm 102

⁽¹⁾ Hear my prayer, O LORD, And let my cry come to You.⁽²⁾ Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble; Incline Your ear to me; In the day that I call, answer me speedily.⁽³⁾ For my days are consumed like smoke, And my bones are burned like a hearth.⁽⁴⁾ My heart is stricken and withered like grass, So that I forget to eat my bread.

⁽⁵⁾ Because of the sound of my groaning My bones cling to my skin.⁽⁶⁾ I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am like an owl of the desert.⁽⁷⁾ I lie awake, And am like a sparrow alone on the housetop.⁽⁸⁾ My enemies reproach me all day long, Those who deride me swear an oath against me.

Malachi Chapter 3

⁽¹⁾ Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,' Says the LORD of hosts.⁽²⁾ But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire And like launderer's soap.⁽³⁾ He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the LORD An offering in righteousness.⁽⁴⁾ Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem Will be pleasant to the LORD, As in the days of old, As in former years.

⁽⁵⁾ And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness Against sorcerers, Against adulterers, Against perjurers, Against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, And against those who turn away an alien -- Because they do not fear Me,' Says the LORD of hosts.⁽⁶⁾ For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.⁽⁷⁾ Yet from the days of your fathers You have gone away from My ordinances And have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,' Says the LORD of hosts. 'But you said, 'In what way shall we return?'⁽⁸⁾ Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, 'In what way have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings.

⁽⁹⁾ You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation.⁽¹⁰⁾ Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,' Says the LORD of hosts, 'If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.⁽¹¹⁾ And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,' Says the LORD of hosts;⁽¹²⁾ And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,' Says the LORD of hosts.

James Chapter 5

⁽⁷⁾ Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.⁽⁸⁾ You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.⁽⁹⁾ Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!⁽¹⁰⁾ My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience.

You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord -- that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.⁽¹²⁾ But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your 'Yes,' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No,' lest you fall into judgment.

Luke Chapter 18

⁽¹⁾ Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,⁽²⁾ saying: 'There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man.⁽³⁾ Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, 'Get justice for me from my adversary.'⁽⁴⁾ And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, 'Though I do not fear God nor regard man,

⁽⁵⁾ yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.' '⁽⁶⁾ Then the Lord said, 'Hear what the unjust judge said.⁽⁷⁾ And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?⁽⁸⁾ I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?'

The Second Song of Isaiah Isaiah 55:6 to 11

Seek the Lord while he wills to be found;
call upon him when he draws near.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,

Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we your unworthy servants give you humble thanks for all your goodness and loving-kindness to us and to all whom you have made. We bless you for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all for your immeasurable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ; for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory, and, we pray, give us such an awareness of your mercies, that with truly thankful hearts we may show forth your praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives, by giving up ourselves to your service, and by walking before you in holiness and righteousness all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory throughout all ages.
