Ordinary Time
The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for such the Father seeks to worship him. John 4:23

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 80

Joel Chapter 1

Revelation Chapter 18

⁽¹⁵⁾ The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, ⁽¹⁶⁾ and saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls! ⁽¹⁷⁾ For in one hour such great riches came to nothing.' Every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance ⁽¹⁸⁾ and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, 'What is like this great city?'

⁽¹⁹⁾ They threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing, and saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! Luke Chapter 14

⁽¹²⁾ Then He also said to him who invited Him, 'When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. ⁽¹³⁾ But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. ⁽¹⁴⁾ And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.' ⁽¹⁵⁾ Now when one of those who sat at the table with Him heard these things, he said to Him, 'Blessed is he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God!'

⁽¹⁶⁾ Then He said to him, 'A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, ⁽¹⁷⁾ and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, 'Come, for all things are now ready.' ⁽¹⁸⁾ But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, 'I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.' ⁽¹⁹⁾ And another said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.'

Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.' ⁽²²⁾ And the servant said, 'Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.' ⁽²³⁾ Then the master said to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
  On the third day he rose again.
  He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
  He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

O God, whose blessed Son came into the world that he might destroy the works of the devil and make us children of God and heirs of eternal life: Grant that, having this hope, we may purify ourselves as he is pure; that, when he comes again with power and great glory, we may be made like him in his eternal and glorious kingdom; where he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
