Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 106

Hosea Chapter 14

⁽¹⁾ O Israel, return to the LORD your God, For you have stumbled because of your iniquity; ⁽²⁾ Take words with you, And return to the LORD. Acts Chapter 22

⁽³⁰⁾ The next day, because he wanted to know for certain why he was accused by the Jews, he released him from his bonds, and commanded the chief priests and all their council to appear, and brought Paul down and set him before them. ⁽¹⁾ Then Paul, looking earnestly at the council, said, 'Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.' ⁽²⁾ And the high priest Ananias commanded those who stood by him to strike him on the mouth. ⁽³⁾ Then Paul said to him, 'God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! For you sit to judge me according to the law, and do you command me to be struck contrary to the law?' ⁽⁴⁾ And those who stood by said, 'Do you revile God's high priest?'

⁽⁵⁾ Then Paul said, 'I did not know, brethren, that he was the high priest; for it is written, 'You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.' ' ⁽⁶⁾ But when Paul perceived that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, 'Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee; concerning the hope and resurrection of the dead I am being judged!' ⁽⁷⁾ And when he had said this, a dissension arose between the Pharisees and the Sadducees; and the assembly was divided. ⁽⁸⁾ For Sadducees say that there is no resurrection -- and no angel or spirit; but the Pharisees confess both.

And the scribes of the Pharisees' party arose and protested, saying, 'We find no evil in this man; but if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him, let us not fight against God.' ⁽¹⁰⁾ Now when there arose a great dissension, the commander, fearing lest Paul might be pulled to pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him by force from among them, and bring him into the barracks. ⁽¹¹⁾ But the following night the Lord stood by him and said, 'Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome.'

Luke Chapter 6

⁽³⁹⁾ And He spoke a parable to them: 'Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into the ditch? ⁽⁴⁰⁾ A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher. ⁽⁴¹⁾ And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye? ⁽⁴²⁾ Or how can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother's eye.

⁽⁴³⁾ For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. ⁽⁴⁴⁾ For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. ⁽⁴⁵⁾ A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. And the ruin of that house was great.'

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
  On the third day he rose again.
