Ordinary Time
Thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, 'I dwell in the high and holy place and also with the one who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite.' Isaiah 57:15

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 118

Isaiah Chapter 19

⁽¹⁹⁾ In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the LORD at its border. ⁽²⁰⁾ And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the LORD because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them. ⁽²¹⁾ Then the LORD will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know the LORD in that day, and will make sacrifice and offering; yes, they will make a vow to the LORD and perform it. ⁽²²⁾ And the LORD will strike Egypt, He will strike and heal it; they will return to the LORD, and He will be entreated by them and heal them.

⁽²³⁾ In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians. ⁽²⁴⁾ In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria -- a blessing in the midst of the land, ⁽²⁵⁾ whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, 'Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.'

Romans Chapter 15

Luke Chapter 19

⁽¹¹⁾ Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately. ⁽¹²⁾ Therefore He said: 'A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. ⁽¹³⁾ So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come.' ⁽¹⁴⁾ But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, 'We will not have this man to reign over us.'

⁽¹⁵⁾ And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. ⁽¹⁶⁾ Then came the first, saying, 'Master, your mina has earned ten minas.' ⁽¹⁷⁾ And he said to him, 'Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.' ⁽¹⁸⁾ And the second came, saying, 'Master, your mina has earned five minas.'

⁽¹⁹⁾ Likewise he said to him, 'You also be over five cities.' ⁽²⁰⁾ Then another came, saying, 'Master, here is your mina, which I have kept put away in a handkerchief. ⁽²¹⁾ For I feared you, because you are an austere man. You collect what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.' ⁽²²⁾ And he said to him, 'Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow.

⁽²³⁾ Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?' ⁽²⁴⁾ And he said to those who stood by, 'Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.' ⁽²⁵⁾ ('But they said to him, 'Master, he has ten minas.') ⁽²⁶⁾ For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

⁽²⁷⁾ But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.' '

The Song of Zechariah Luke 1: 68 to 79
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty savior,
born of the house of his servant David.
Through his holy prophets he promised of old,
that he would save us from our enemies,
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant.
This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham,
to set us free from the hands of our enemies,

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.

  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
