Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 106

⁽¹⁾ Praise the LORD! Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. ⁽²⁾ Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? Who can declare all His praise? ⁽³⁾ Blessed are those who keep justice, And he who does righteousness at all times! ⁽⁴⁾ Remember me, O LORD, with the favor You have toward Your people; Oh, visit me with Your salvation,

2 Kings Chapter 21

⁽¹⁾ Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Hephzibah. ⁽²⁾ And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. ⁽³⁾ For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; he raised up altars for Baal, and made a wooden image, as Ahab king of Israel had done; and he worshiped all the host of heaven and served them. ⁽⁴⁾ He also built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, 'In Jerusalem I will put My name.'

⁽⁵⁾ And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. ⁽⁶⁾ Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger. ⁽⁷⁾ He even set a carved image of Asherah that he had made, in the house of which the LORD had said to David and to Solomon his son, 'In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever; ⁽⁸⁾ and I will not make the feet of Israel wander anymore from the land which I gave their fathers -- only if they are careful to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them.'

⁽⁹⁾ But they paid no attention, and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than the nations whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel. ⁽¹⁰⁾ And the LORD spoke by His servants the prophets, saying, ⁽¹¹⁾ Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations (he has acted more wickedly than all the Amorites who were before him, and has also made Judah sin with his idols), ⁽¹²⁾ therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'Behold, I am bringing such calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle.

⁽¹³⁾ And I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab; I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down. ⁽¹⁴⁾ So I will forsake the remnant of My inheritance and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become victims of plunder to all their enemies, ⁽¹⁵⁾ because they have done evil in My sight, and have provoked Me to anger since the day their fathers came out of Egypt, even to this day.' ' ⁽¹⁶⁾ Moreover Manasseh shed very much innocent blood, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another, besides his sin by which he made Judah sin, in doing evil in the sight of the LORD.

⁽¹⁷⁾ Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh -- all that he did, and the sin that he committed -- are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? ⁽¹⁸⁾ So Manasseh rested with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza. Then his son Amon reigned in his place.

1 Corinthians Chapter 10

⁽¹⁴⁾ Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. ⁽¹⁵⁾ I speak as to wise men; judge for yourselves what I say. ⁽¹⁶⁾ The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? ⁽¹⁷⁾ For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread.

⁽¹⁸⁾ Observe Israel after the flesh: Are not those who eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? ⁽¹⁹⁾ What am I saying then? That an idol is anything, or what is offered to idols is anything? ⁽²⁰⁾ Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. ⁽²¹⁾ You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord's table and of the table of demons.

⁽²²⁾ Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He? ⁽²³⁾ All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify. ⁽²⁴⁾ Let no one seek his own, but each one the other's well-being. ⁽²⁵⁾ Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, asking no questions for conscience' sake;

⁽²⁶⁾ for 'the earth is the LORD's, and all its fullness.' ⁽²⁷⁾ If any of those who do not believe invites you to dinner, and you desire to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no question for conscience' sake. ⁽²⁸⁾ But if anyone says to you, 'This was offered to idols,' do not eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for conscience' sake; for 'the earth is the LORD's, and all its fullness.' ⁽²⁹⁾ Conscience,' I say, not your own, but that of the other. For why is my liberty judged by another man's conscience?

⁽³⁰⁾ But if I partake with thanks, why am I evil spoken of for the food over which I give thanks? ⁽³¹⁾ Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. ⁽³²⁾ Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God, ⁽³³⁾ just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

Matthew Chapter 8

⁽²⁸⁾ When He had come to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one could pass that way. ⁽²⁹⁾ And suddenly they cried out, saying, 'What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?' ⁽³⁰⁾ Now a good way off from them there was a herd of many swine feeding. ⁽³¹⁾ So the demons begged Him, saying, 'If You cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of swine.'

⁽³²⁾ And He said to them, 'Go.' So when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine. And suddenly the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and perished in the water. ⁽³³⁾ Then those who kept them fled; and they went away into the city and told everything, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men. ⁽³⁴⁾ And behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus. And when they saw Him, they begged Him to depart from their region.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord.
  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
  He descended to the dead.
