Ordinary Time
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen

Psalm 107

⁽³³⁾ He turns rivers into a wilderness, And the watersprings into dry ground; ⁽³⁴⁾ A fruitful land into barrenness, For the wickedness of those who dwell in it. ⁽³⁵⁾ He turns a wilderness into pools of water, And dry land into watersprings. ⁽³⁶⁾ There He makes the hungry dwell, That they may establish a city for a dwelling place,

⁽³⁷⁾ And sow fields and plant vineyards, That they may yield a fruitful harvest. ⁽³⁸⁾ He also blesses them, and they multiply greatly; And He does not let their cattle decrease. ⁽³⁹⁾ When they are diminished and brought low Through oppression, affliction and sorrow, ⁽⁴⁰⁾ He pours contempt on princes, And causes them to wander in the wilderness where there is no way;

Psalm 108

⁽¹⁾ O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. ⁽²⁾ Awake, lute and harp! 2 Samuel Chapter 16

⁽¹⁾ When David was a little past the top of the mountain, there was Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth, who met him with a couple of saddled donkeys, and on them two hundred loaves of bread, one hundred clusters of raisins, one hundred summer fruits, and a skin of wine. ⁽²⁾ And the king said to Ziba, 'What do you mean to do with these?' So Ziba said, 'The donkeys are for the king's household to ride on, the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine for those who are faint in the wilderness to drink.' ⁽³⁾ Then the king said, 'And where is your master's son?' And Ziba said to the king, 'Indeed he is staying in Jerusalem, for he said, 'Today the house of Israel will restore the kingdom of my father to me.' ' ⁽⁴⁾ So the king said to Ziba, 'Here, all that belongs to Mephibosheth is yours.' And Ziba said, 'I humbly bow before you, that I may find favor in your sight, my lord, O king!'

⁽⁵⁾ Now when King David came to Bahurim, there was a man from the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei the son of Gera, coming from there. He came out, cursing continuously as he came. ⁽⁶⁾ And he threw stones at David and at all the servants of King David. And all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left. ⁽⁷⁾ Also Shimei said thus when he cursed: 'Come out! Come out! You bloodthirsty man, you rogue! ⁽⁸⁾ The LORD has brought upon you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned; and the LORD has delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom your son. So now you are caught in your own evil, because you are a bloodthirsty man!'

⁽⁹⁾ Then Abishai the son of Zeruiah said to the king, 'Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Please, let me go over and take off his head!' ⁽¹⁰⁾ But the king said, 'What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? So let him curse, because the LORD has said to him, 'Curse David.' Who then shall say, 'Why have you done so?' ' ⁽¹¹⁾ And David said to Abishai and all his servants, 'See how my son who came from my own body seeks my life. How much more now may this Benjamite? Let him alone, and let him curse; for so the LORD has ordered him. ⁽¹²⁾ It may be that the LORD will look on my affliction, and that the LORD will repay me with good for his cursing this day.'

⁽¹³⁾ And as David and his men went along the road, Shimei went along the hillside opposite him and cursed as he went, threw stones at him and kicked up dust. ⁽¹⁴⁾ Now the king and all the people who were with him became weary; so they refreshed themselves there. ⁽¹⁵⁾ Meanwhile Absalom and all the people, the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem; and Ahithophel was with him. ⁽¹⁶⁾ And so it was, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, came to Absalom, that Hushai said to Absalom, 'Long live the king! Long live the king!'

⁽¹⁷⁾ So Absalom said to Hushai, 'Is this your loyalty to your friend? Why did you not go with your friend?' ⁽¹⁸⁾ And Hushai said to Absalom, 'No, but whom the LORD and this people and all the men of Israel choose, his I will be, and with him I will remain. ⁽¹⁹⁾ Furthermore, whom should I serve? Should I not serve in the presence of his son? As I have served in your father's presence, so will I be in your presence.' ⁽²⁰⁾ Then Absalom said to Ahithophel, 'Give counsel as to what we should do.'

⁽²¹⁾ And Ahithophel said to Absalom, 'Go in to your father's concubines, whom he has left to keep the house; and all Israel will hear that you are abhorred by your father. Then the hands of all who are with you will be strong.' ⁽²²⁾ So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the top of the house, and Absalom went in to his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel. ⁽²³⁾ Now the advice of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was as if one had inquired at the oracle of God. So was all the advice of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.

Acts Chapter 22

⁽¹⁷⁾ Now it happened, when I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, that I was in a trance ⁽¹⁸⁾ and saw Him saying to me, 'Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly, for they will not receive your testimony concerning Me.' ⁽¹⁹⁾ So I said, 'Lord, they know that in every synagogue I imprisoned and beat those who believe on You. ⁽²⁰⁾ And when the blood of Your martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by consenting to his death, and guarding the clothes of those who were killing him.'

⁽²¹⁾ Then He said to me, 'Depart, for I will send you far from here to the Gentiles.' ' ⁽²²⁾ And they listened to him until this word, and then they raised their voices and said, 'Away with such a fellow from the earth, for he is not fit to live!' ⁽²³⁾ Then, as they cried out and tore off their clothes and threw dust into the air, ⁽²⁴⁾ the commander ordered him to be brought into the barracks, and said that he should be examined under scourging, so that he might know why they shouted so against him.

⁽²⁵⁾ And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said to the centurion who stood by, 'Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman, and uncondemned?' ⁽²⁶⁾ When the centurion heard that, he went and told the commander, saying, 'Take care what you do, for this man is a Roman.' ⁽²⁷⁾ Then the commander came and said to him, 'Tell me, are you a Roman?' He said, 'Yes.' ⁽²⁸⁾ The commander answered, 'With a large sum I obtained this citizenship.' And Paul said, 'But I was born a citizen.'

⁽²⁹⁾ Then immediately those who were about to examine him withdrew from him; and the commander was also afraid after he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.

Mark Chapter 11

⁽¹⁾ Now when they drew near Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples; ⁽²⁾ and He said to them, 'Go into the village opposite you; and as soon as you have entered it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has sat. Loose it and bring it. ⁽³⁾ And if anyone says to you, 'Why are you doing this?' say, 'The Lord has need of it,' and immediately he will send it here.' ⁽⁴⁾ So they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door outside on the street, and they loosed it.

⁽⁵⁾ But some of those who stood there said to them, 'What are you doing, loosing the colt?' ⁽⁶⁾ And they spoke to them just as Jesus had commanded. So they let them go. ⁽⁷⁾ Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and He sat on it. ⁽⁸⁾ And many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the trees and spread them on the road.

⁽⁹⁾ Then those who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: 'Hosanna! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!' ⁽¹⁰⁾ Blessed is the kingdom of our father David That comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!' ⁽¹¹⁾ And Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when He had looked around at all things, as the hour was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
