Year A – All Saints Sunday

Brothers and sisters, the saints who have gone on before us had confidence in God as their provider. Now, let us approach God with the same confidence for our needs and the needs of the whole world.

That there may be unity among God’s living saints in matters which are essential, and respect for those that are non-essential, with all wisdom and humility.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That we, following the example of the triumphant saints, may seek God’s Kingdom above all else.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That the persecuted Church by their witness may see the conversion of their oppressors.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That governments may enact laws protecting the freedom of Religion.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That we, following the call on every saint’s life, may work to seek justice for the poor, the oppressed, the disabled and the unwanted child.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That we may have eyes to see and ears to hear and a heart to respond to what God is doing in our lives.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That those who are near death may be comforted by the promises of Christ and surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

King of Glory, worship belongs to You alone. Hear our prayer and give us the grace to remain faithful until the end. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
