Year A – Proper 28

Brothers and sisters, God has told us to be anxious for nothing but to come to Him in prayer with thanksgiving. Therefore, with thankful hearts, let us bring our needs and the needs of the whole world before our loving Father.

That the Church, as the agent of God’s Kingdom on Earth, may proclaim His Holy Gospel, worship Him without fear and live holy lives for His glory.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That the testimony of the persecuted Church may lead to the conversion of their oppressors.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That nations may enact laws that administer equal justice to all their people.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That we may bear witness to the value of every human life by the care we show to the elderly, the disabled, the sick and the dying.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That we may remain faithful in little things.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That we may surrender our lives to the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That authors, journalists, producers and artists may use their talents to instill truth and righteousness into the hearts of the people.

Gracious Father, through Jesus You have swallowed up death forever. Hear our prayer and give us the grace to be a thankful people, always rejoicing in Your Salvation. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
