Year A – Proper 7

Brothers and sisters, aware that God cares for us more than we can imagine, let us present our needs and the needs of the whole world before Him.

That the Church may boldly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that through Him we may have peace with God.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That governments may enact laws that promote justice and mercy for all their people, especially the poor and the powerless.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That we may be patient in our suffering, generous in our giving and broad in our forgiveness.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That we may acknowledge Christ and seek His Will in all our daily activities.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That those who defend us at home and abroad may be protected by the grace of God.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That those who are suffering from the loss of a loved one may be comforted by the promises of the Risen Christ.

Heavenly Father, You know the number of hairs on our head and our needs even before we ask. Mercifully hear our prayer and give us the grace to be a thankful people. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
