Year A – Second Sunday of Easter

Brothers and sisters, the Lord is gracious and merciful and full of loving kindness. Therefore, let us bring our needs and those of the whole world before Him.

That the Church may continue to be a visible sign of Christ’s presence on Earth.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That the witness of the Persecuted Church may lead to their deliverance and to the conversion of their oppressors.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That nations may put aside their prejudices and differences and seek lasting peace.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That the kindness of Jesus may draw sinners to repentance and amendment of life.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That those receiving Baptism and/or Confirmation may be filled with the fruit of the Spirit and empowered with the Gifts of the Spirit for the common good.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That just as the Apostles and the early Church held all their goods in common, we may also have a heart to share our possessions with those in need.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That we may always bear witness of the risen Christ through word and deed.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

Father of mercy, You have revealed Yourself to us through Your Son Jesus Christ. Hear our prayer and give us the grace to be imitators of Him, Who is Lord forever more.

Amen.
