Year A – Third Sunday in Advent

Brothers and sisters, God's Word tells us to wait patiently, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Therefore, with patience and confidence, let us bring our needs and those of the whole world before Him.

That the Patriarch, all Bishops, Priests and Deacons may be endowed with the wisdom, favor and anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That we may not be ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto Salvation to all who believe.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That world leaders may seek the good of those they govern and peace with other nations.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That expecting mothers, like Mary, may welcome and nurture the new life God is entrusting to them.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That we may have eyes to see and ears to hear and a heart to respond to what the Holy Spirit is doing in our lives.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That our children and our grandchildren will commit their ways to the Lord and dedicate their lives to serving Him and His people.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

For your own special intentions. (Pause)

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

Father, You have promised to restore all things. Hear our prayer and give us the grace to remain faithful until the end. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
