Year A – Seventh Sunday after Epiphany

Brothers and sisters, in Christ every spiritual blessing is available to us. Grateful for this, let us now pray for our needs and the needs of the whole world.

That the Church may be a visible representation of God’s abundant love and forgiveness in Christ.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That the Persecuted Church may be supernaturally sustained by God’s grace, remembered in our daily prayers and delivered from their captivity.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That nations may put aside their divisions and prejudices and seek peace.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That the love of God may be continually poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit so that we may love even those who mistreat us.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That all human life may be respected, protected and cared for, from conception to natural death.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That those who defend us at home and abroad may be blessed with courage, wisdom, compassion and the protection of God.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

That the sick among us may be healed through the mercy of God,

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

Gracious Father, You pour out Your grace upon the just and the unjust alike. Hear our prayer and give us the grace to see the image of Your Son in all those we encounter. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
