Year A – Second Sunday after Epiphany

Brothers and sisters, the Lord desires that we cast our burdens upon Him for He cares for us. Therefore, let us bring our needs before Him.

For our Patriarch, all Bishops and Clergy: that they may be endowed with the wisdom, favor and anointing of God’s Holy Spirit.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

For the Church: that where She is divided, She may be reunited, where in error, She may be reformed and where in need, She may have Her needs met.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

For the nations; that they, like the Magi, may recognize the Kingship of Jesus.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

For the poor, the hungry, the homeless, the unemployed and the abandoned.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

For us: that we may have the same zeal as the Apostle Andrew in bringing others to Jesus.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

For the conversion of Islam and other world religions and philosophies that are in opposition to the Word of God.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

For our enemies and those who have offended or persecuted us.

Lord in Your mercy,Hear our prayer.

Merciful Father, You sent Your only Son to be one of us and to become the perfect sacrifice for our rebellion and sin. Hear our prayer and give us the grace to be a thankful people. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
